“I came across Mike at Urban Fitness while searching for HYROX-specific training to prepare for HYROX Sydney in the Open category. After a trial session, Mike suggested I aim higher and enter the Pro category. My first thought was, "There's no way - I'm a full time working mum with a young family. I don't have hours a day to train, let alone do double sessions." But Mike and his team showed me more isn't always better. With his guidance, I committed to the Pro category and surprisingly spent less time in the gym - one HYROX specific class per week.

The real shift came with a focus on running. I started with one run a week and gradually built up to three, I had to learn to trust the process and not every work out needs to leave you gasping for air and that building a solid aerobic base was key.

Thanks to Mike's coaching, smart programming and belief in me, I achieved something I never thought possible by qualifying for the HYROX World Championships. Urban Fitness isn't just a gym, it's a place that challenges limits and supports real life balance.”

Too many people think they can’t — that they’ll never get strong, fit, or shed what’s holding them back . Our job is to show them they can.

People come to Urban Fitness to learn — to be students of their own health and performance. The result? They get fitter, faster and stronger.

They also come for community. Not the community — because community isn’t a club you join, it’s something we all need. It’s wired into us. And the more we work remotely or let AI replace real connection, the more we crave it.

We’ve got members who’ve been here for over a decade. Plenty more for nine, eight, seven… you get the idea. Urban’s their third space — not home, not work, but the place in between where they can switch off and train for the best hour of their day.

On October 10th, 2025, Urban Fitness turned 10. Ten years on, we’re still growing because we focus on what works — quality coaching, consistent effort, real results. Doing a few things really bloody well beats doing a lot of things average.

We’re not for everyone. We’re for people who want to get seriously strong and seriously fit.

Our members range from 16 to 68 — and a lot of the younger ones have to work hard to keep up with the older ones.

If you want structured, methodical training — not just random workouts that make you sweaty — you’ve found your people. Your community.

When you train with us you’’ll experience first-hand the energy, the coaching and the structure that make Urban different.
