What We Do

Watch a short video of our actual classes in action. Then, use one of the link’s below to sign up to one of our 6 class - 10 day trial.


MetCon45 - Similar to CrossFit BUT without any barbells, heavy lifting or complicated gymnastics. We use bodyweight exercises and kettlebells etc instead. Options of 30 or 45 minute classes.


CrossFit - 60 minute Strength & Conditioning classes. We teach you how to safely Snatch, Clean & Jerk, Deadlift and much more as well as Gymnastics like Handstand Walking & Muscle Ups.

Our Community


Our Community


Urban fitness is …

Made up of teenagers, mothers and daughters, grandfathers, grandmothers, doctors and lawyers, lifeguards and university students. It’s a complete melting pot of humans from all walks of life and levels of fitness.

In our MetCon45 classes the average age is 35 with at least 3 of our members who are over 60, which we think is pretty damn cool. The CrossFit classes are mostly 20 to 30 year olds and our Teenagers start with us as early as 13 years old.

In fact, we have entire families that come to our gym. It’s a great little community vibe we’ve got going on here.

Whatever the reason may be that’s brought you to our website, it’s a good one. Keep reading and if we’ve communicated ourselves properly then you should be able to tell that we are not like every other gym.

Training During Pregnancy

Claudia talks about how she manage to train about a week until she gave birth and how she credits her consistent training while pregnant to her speedy recovery. She was back at the gym within 12 weeks of having her little girl, doing some light, modified training we created for her in the classes and has managed to almost bounce back and feeling like herself again.

CrossFit Saved My Life

Andrew's story is inspiring. He encompasses our motto of “Training for Life”. From being 126 kilo’s at the age of 50, never wanting to be part of a gym and found it hard to squat his own bodyweight due to knee issues - to now being able to to squat with 150kg on his back. Urban Fitness has redefined who he is. Training has saved his life.

Training with Scoliosis

One of at least 3 members who are older than 60 and still kicking ass. Prior to training here, Jo struggled to walk without pain. Now she is here 30 minutes before 6am, warming up to make sure her body is ready to go. Due to her scoliosis and some limited movement, we modify exercises for her. Training with us has givien her the confidence she needed to live a long, healthy life.

Father and Son Team

A short story of their journey with us together. From going to a “normal” and never wanting to be there, to enjoying every day, looking forward to being there and making new friends along the way. It’s been amazing watching them go from strength to strength, with some fun competitive spirit too! In their own words “Urban Fitness has become a second family. Its the community that makes it.

A Teen Amongst the Adults

Oscar talking about his experience training in the classes alongside the Adults. We take teens from the age of 13. It’s obviously great for their health but also for building their self confidence and independance.
