What Members Say
Urban Fitness started in a park in 2009. A coach, a barbell and a group of people who wanted to train.
We were one of New Zealand's first CrossFit affiliates. The same with HYROX and now ATHX as a Regional Hub.
Our new facility is 685sqm of training space we'd been building towards for 16 years. All of it lives here now at 12 Abel Smith Street.
Come and see it for yourself. It's pretty epic.
Book a drop-in →Three distinct methodologies. Every session programmed in-house.
Some members come for the variety and challenge each one offers. Others train to compete.
Each pillar has a pathway to compete when you're ready. Or train across all three to add structure to your week.
When you know what you're training for, you show up more often. The results will follow.
Anyone can do it. Racing or not, HYROX gives your training purpose. We coach it. We train for it. We compete in it.
Better movement with a barbell. We coach using Richie Patterson's methodology of weightlifting - position, rhythm and timing.
Pure Hybrid training. Strength, endurance and metabolic conditioning. The sweet spot between HYROX and CrossFit.
