The brains behind the brawn. We call him “our numbers guy”. Also ask him anything about Deer Farming (it’s a long story).

Roo played high levels of rugby in NZ, Australia and Canada. He says the community and team training of CrossFit drew him to the sport.

He has his CrossFit Level 2, Richie Pattersons Level 1 Olympic Weightlifting, he has also coached an elite athlete at 2021 CrossFit Regionals and team at the 2022 CrossFit Games in Madison.

Connor

Connor specialises in handstands, backflips and everything in between. He’s been coaching gymnastics and calisthenics movements for over 8 years and trained in them himself the past 9. He loves helping people reach goals they never thought even possible”

Tanya

Tanya is passionate about coaching and supporting others to achieve their health, fitness and wellbeing goals. Her qualifications include her CrossFit Level 1, Richie Patterson Level 1 Olympic Weightlifting and she’s also a REPs certified Personal Trainer.”

Ruby

With a background in Netball, she is an absolute team player. Ruby is a level 5 Personal Trainer with over 3 years experience prior to joining the team.

Group coaching is very much a passion for her as well as her own athletic development in functional fitness, definitely not a stranger to hard work.

Matt

With a background in Physiotherapy, this guy is fastidious and knows human movement! Matt has experiences is in a range of sports, but if you ask us could pretty much turn his hands to most challenges. Fortunate for us, his passions align with all the things we hold dear at Urban Fitness.

In addition to his Physiotherapy tertiary qualifications, Matt has his CrossFit Level 1 and Richie Pattersons Level 1 Olympic Weightlifting.
