who makes up our community

Teenagers, mothers and daughters, grandfathers, doctors and lawyers, lifeguards, university students; it’s a complete melting pot of humans from all walks of life and of levels of fitness.

In our MetCon-1 classes the average age is 35 with our eldest member touching on 60, which we think is pretty damn cool. The Competitive Fitness classes are mostly 20 to 30 year olds and our Teen classes range from kids aged 13 to 17.

Whatever the reason may be that’s brought you to our website, it’s a good one. Keep reading and if we’ve communicated ourselves properly then you should be able to tell that we are not like every other gym.

Our core Strength and Conditioning program.

CrossFit specific training, Olympic weightlifting, periodised strength programs, gymnastics skill development and of course conditioning workouts with the Barbell.

Functional Group Fitness.

MetCon-1 is a 45 minute high-energy cardiovascular workout that uses mainly bodyweight exercises making it the perfect training program for busy people regardless of their age or fitness level.

Train in 200sqm of open plan gym during our off peak times with quality equipment and coaches who are themselves passionate lifters.

A program for 13 to 17 year olds.

This is a fun and challenging group environment for teenagers to exercise in. Increase your fitness for other activities or make this form of fitness your chosen sport!

Off Peak Open Gym

A private place to train without the mirrors or egos.

A Corporate solution for private team training.

Te Wero is a 4-week boot camp for local Wellington businesses. The goal of these is to to reduce absenteeism by promoting health and wellness in the workplace.

Sports Massage and Fascial Stretch Therapy

We have a therapy clinic with two rooms and three therapists located inside the gym.

Sports Massage works deep in the muscles, realigning the muscle fibres and connective tissue, and flushing away the toxins. Regular sessions will increase joint mobility and flexibility, and reduce the risk of injury during exercise. 

Fascial Stretch Therapy™ is a unique, complete and complementary system of table-based assisted stretching, focusing on the fascia and joint capsule as the key elements in achieving optimal flexibility, strength, performance and pain relief.
